What to Expect from a Professional Wedding Magician
The most important decision to make when choosing a wedding magician is deciding whether or not this person will get on well with your family and friends. No matter how good the tricks are, if a magician isn’t clicking with your guests then you won’t get the positive mood a pro magician can deliver.
With many years performing at weddings, Kevin can expertly gauge and tailor the performance for the differing age groups. The style that suits a group of twenty somethings may often not go down so well with Great Aunt Maude and her pals. Kevin has the experience to measure the situation and perform accordingly ensuring that everyone enjoys the show.
At a wedding expect to see roses produced, amazing demonstrations of sleight of hand and magic designed to build a fun atmosphere in the room. As soon as one group sees a performance, they respond with clapping or laughing or gasping, other guests want to know what is going on. Word soon spreads throughout the room and before you know it a wonderful atmosphere of fun and anticipation is created.
I can only imagine you get tons of emails like this one but I Just had to write to say a massive thank you for entertaining everyone at our wedding. All we could hear around the breakfast tables the morning after were conversations about you ….. “how did he do that??” , ” did you see when he …” & “what about when he …” !!!
My new years text from Rachel & Simon said “Happy new year, we’re still talking about Kevin ” !!! Little Rob rang and asked me for your web site & is still trying to take his thumb off !!! & my two 90 year old Aunts really fell for you so I think you’ve pulled there !!!
You honestly turned our wedding into something special & more memorable than we ever expected.
I Just can’t thank you enough.
With Love, thanks & a happy new year,
PS ……….. I will email you some photos when we get sorted & don’t hesitate to give others our email address or phone number if they are thinking of booking you x
What are the best times for a Performance?
Closeup magic is very flexible and can really enhance a wedding celebration. After six years of performing professionally I recommend the following.
Option 1: During the Photos/Reception
The Photos are traditionally taken immediately after the ceremony, before the kids have a chance to get messy! Many guests are not involved with the majority of the photos and this is the ideal time for a close-up Magician to perform!
Option 2: During The Wedding Breakfast
As guests settle down for the meal, it is inevitable that there will be people at the table that don’t know anyone else seated there. A Magician can entertain with a short show at each table and provide that initial talking point that is often required to get people chatting! The Magician works in-between the courses and leaves when the speeches begin.
Option 3: The Evening Reception
After the speeches have finished and the effects of the wine are starting to kick in, the evening guests start to arrive for the evening reception. A Magician can provide close-up magic for guests as they appear, before the music gets into full swing.
Regardless of the above options, every Wedding Day is different. If you’d like to speak to Kevin about your specific Wedding Day requirements, please fill out the form on the contact page and he will get back to you as soon as possible, and usually in less than 24 hours…
