Magicfest – The Edinburgh International Magic Festival
Edinburgh International Magic Festival is probably the UK’s largest magic event, attracting in excess of 8,000 people.
Founded in 2010 by Kevin the Magic Festival is a unique organisation designed to promote magic as an art form through an annual programme of performances and events. It is the only festival in the UK that focuses purely on magical performances and events for the general public.
David Blaine, Derren Brown and Harry Potter have shifted magic into the 21st century and created a new generation of magicians and magic lovers. In the last seven years magic has become increasingly popular on TV and at private events; however there is very little provision for public magic shows.
MagicFest is designed to bring back to the stage, amazing live magic shows and let the audience rediscover the seldom experienced states of awe and wonderment!
